Welcome to PM Digweed Decorating Services

I have over 40 years experience as a painter and decorator. With City & Guilds and advanced craft qualifications.

Over the years I have worked in domestic and commercial environments including the Royal Apartments and renovations on listed buildings.

All work is undertaken by me personally and is not subcontracted out. I pride myself on a high standard of work using good quality materials and dustless sanding equipment to achieve a high quality finish for my clients.

From meeting a client and providing a detailed estimate to when starting the project you can be assured of my full personal attention. Only one job is undertaken at a time to achieve a seamless finish from day one to completion.

Exterior & Interior Painting

Decorating your property is vital for the aesthetic appeal and also for the preservation of the building. I understand your home is your sanctuary which is why my approach to decorating is as much about respect as it is about paint. From the initial quote to the final sweep of the floor I try to ensure a stressed free experience with minimal disruption to your daily routine.

Wallpapering

Wallpapering can instantly change the character of a room. Whether it is with bold geometric patterns or subtle calming textures. The process begins with meticulous surface preparation followed by cross lining if required. Beyond its visual appeal wallpaper is very practical and high-quality varieties could last up to 10 to 15 years making it a cost effective option.

Hand Painted Kitchens

A hand painted kitchen elevates a room that a spray painted alternative often lacks. I pride myself on meticulous preparation to achieve a flawless durable finish. The process begins with the removal of all doors and drawer fronts which are then thoroughly degreased. All surfaces are then primed, filled and finished in a durable quality paint to the colour of your choice. The doors and drawer fronts are then refitted and all fittings and hinges are cleaned. This dedicated preparation and skilled brush work revitalises your kitchen with a unique look which mass produced kitchens cannot replicate.

Listed Properties

Decorating a listed building is a balancing act between personal taste and historic preservation. It is important to use the correct materials such as distemper and lime wash. This allows the property to breathe and permits moisture to evaporate to avoid damp and rot.
